Q&A with Jasmine Solano of Electric Punanny
DJ, Music Maker and TV Host – Jasmine Solano is nothing short of a world traveling, bonafide workaholic.
Hostess of the show “Scratch the surface” on MTV Iggy she travels the world to find the real party scenes as the locals do it. She keeps herself busy by being a music producer, DJ and part of the DJ duo Electric Punanny.
Electric Punanny is the creation by Jasmine Solano and Melo-X from their love to Reggae, Dancehall and Electronic music which resulted in one of the most popular monthly clubs in New York City that grew to a worldwide tour last year visiting Canada, Europe, Australia and Japan.
As they are getting ready for their US tour (tour dates) we reached out to her to find out:
- Where do you feel at home?
I feel at home anywhere that involves a beach! Also at my actual home in Brooklyn, NY
- Where do you want to travel next and why?
Last year, Electric Punanny went on a World Tour which definitely checked several places off my list. But next I would love to spend time in the Mediterranean, Australia and Bali.
- What’s your favorite party spot and why?
That’s a tough call. Each city is amazing to party in and for different reasons. Berlin is incredible, they party for days on end. Paris is great because they appreciate classic music. And New York is where all the cultures clash to create new movements. I don’t have a favorite, yet 🙂
