Tour Essentials with Soul Clap
By harnessing the past Soul Clap looks to the future. In 2012 they released their debut long player, EFUNK: The Album. A culmination of their sonic influences so far, full of collaborations and programmed to listen to on one vinyl LP, it included a cover version of Egyptian Lover’s classic Alezby Inn, which got the seal of approval from Egypt himself in the form of a remix due out in 2013. Pushing their musical message even deeper, Soul Clap proudly launched Soul Clap Records, a sounding board for original material, a framework for their own funky family and a spotlight on undiscovered talent from their hometown of Boston and beyond.
Soul Clap continues to deliver that funk with yet another amazing EP now with the legendary Funkadelic band! George Clinton & Sly Stone on the keys. Grab the EP In Da Kar now on Itunes!
While touring the world we caught up with Soul Clap to figure out their Tour Essentials!
- Baby Wipes – Most important when traveling? Stay fresh and clean! Baby wipes are great for your booty, but also come in handy for that almost shower feeling in the club or at the airport when you’re really stanky.
- Nag Champa – When clubs started banning smoking, they also started smelling way worse! There’s nothing worse for the vibe than the dancefloor smelling like stinky hippy B.O. or nasty farts. The solution… burn that Nag!
- Baby Powder – Not only does baby powder help you in the fresh department and stop chaffing, it’s also the secret ingredient to a smooth dancefloor! Real house dancers know that the best way to slide and not slip is sprinkling some of this on the floor, to help you glide and dip.
But also some honorable mentions are; Map to Local Records Stores!, Musinex, postcards and local sports paraphernalia.
